Kids Listen Free is a program that allows patrons who purchase tickets for specific BSO concert series to add free tickets for children. In past seasons the program was called Young and Free, but was in need of a rebrand that was more consistent with the BSO's current branding. The goal was to convey listening to a concert as an active experience rather than a passive one.
Throughout my process, I challenged myself to give the letters as much character as possible before adding any picture based imagery. After focusing on the type itself, I started implementing simple iconography related to music and friendly colors to add onto the character of the typography. This allowed for the logo to have a good balance between professionalism and friendliness.
*The implementation of this rebrand is still an ongoing process due to concert unfortunate cancellations during the pandemic*
